I lived on top of the world - WOW!

Oh the places I've lived - so many places, so many stories.

In the way back of 1993 during my first professional gap years (a story for another time) I had the unique and extraordinary good fortune to work and live at an Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

For seven months, from May through the Thanksgiving holiday, I lived atop the mountains and experienced the most extraordinary views, well most days that is, we were occasionally socked in. Watching the clouds lift to reveal the endless mountains below - it takes your breath away!

I explored the Pisgah Forest nearly every day, watching summer come into bloom, hiking along mountain streams and waterfalls and experiencing autumnal awe as the leaves changed and reached their peak colors.
